I wrote a belated review of another book club book: The Memoir Project, by Marion Roach Smith.
My initial reaction: while it contains some lovely pieces of wisdom, this book would have done well not to insist on how special it is among craft books.
The sleeper insight, which I think will linger after my disgruntlement fades: what a meaningful love letter this book contains, addressed to "realia."
